I’m a Pittsburgh-based family photographer who specializes in documentary-style photography. That means no awkward poses, no forced smiles, and no need to tidy up the house just for me. Instead, I’ll join you where your life really happens. Your home. Your favorite museum. A walk around the neighborhood. Wherever your family feels most like yourselves. Keep scrolling to see my list of suggestions!
From breakfast routines and bedtime snuggles to weekend adventures and quiet in-between moments, I focus on the connections and emotions that make your family unique.
Looking for a family session with verbal direction from me? Or maybe you crave the realness but you can't resist a mix of casually posed portraits? I got you covered! Let's jump on a call to talk through your session.
"Erica is a fantastic photographer! She has been taking photos for my family (both indoors and outside) for several years now and I can always count on her to go above and beyond in the pictures she delivers and to be on time in sharing her finalized gallery with us. She is easy to work with and very friendly. I would highly recommend Erica to anyone looking to hire a talented photographer!"

I vow to be there on your wedding day come rain or shine, for 2 guests or 200, for the smiles, the tears, and everything in between. I vow to be your confidant and friend — someone who earns your trust, who respects your vulnerability, and who honors your love story by documenting it authentically.
Absolutely. The wedding day is 80% documentary style and 20% verbal direction. I still take candids of you with your wedding party, as well as your future spouse. And I still take posed groupings of your families. Several weeks prior to your wedding, I will ask you for a list of portraits you would like to have so I don’t miss anyone, but this is the only time during your wedding I will be working from a list. The rest of the day I will be working purely from my observation.
Just one, because I want you and your celebration to be 110% of my focus. As a matter of fact, I only work 30 weddings per year — far less than most wedding photographers. It’s important to set these boundaries for my self care so I can show up energized and excited to each event.
Hell yes! I am happy to capture weddings in Pittsburgh, Wheeling, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Cleveland, and other Pennsylvania and Ohio cities. I love to travel beyond the Southwestern PA area, too, if you are planning a destination wedding and want your own personal paparazzi.
No worries — you might find the answer on my full FAQ page, or you can always send me an email.
