(1:58) Speaker 3: Wheatfield township are you okay if i say that we’re at gary nice wonger’s farm sure how long have you been coming here 12 years ish what does this place mean to you what what’s that what does

(2:37) Speaker 2: This place mean to you it’s a pretty good friend he uh farming full time now since he got laid off from the plant help him out and uh no no no like the place what does this place yeah oh so i get to come out and help him and uh you know i can hunt on its ground and stuff so you help him and in return

(3:12) Speaker 3: He like kind of lets you hunt here and hang out is it like an exchange or it just no it’s just

(3:24) Speaker 2: No i don’t have to do anything really i say no i don’t he’s matt’s age oh okay you like to help him yeah like with projects yep i’m not on a payroll or nothing but he gives me a quarter of a cow which is Worth about 1200 bucks so beef i feel like i’ve had this cow sometimes

(4:02) Speaker 3: But what about um like the land itself what does the land itself what does it mean when you come here

(4:13) Speaker 2: What’s nice i can bring my quad out and uh i can set up cameras all over drill cams and uh i can go anywhere on the property if i want wish i could tell you how many acres on how many it is What are the are the cameras just so you can track deer 12 cams yeah four of them out here

(5:00) Speaker 2: Hunting and and uh this is a perfect spot for me other people hunt here and somebody gets a deer that if they need help they may know who to call i’ll leave my quad in there in that building

(5:44) Speaker 2: Want or call somebody help drag it right there you seen there i drove my truck right through it oh my gosh i’m not going to even lift it in the truck it’s so big what’s your favorite thing about this

(6:40) Speaker 2: Personal freedom here too he has equipment i can use he has a shop down there he has i need to weld something for myself he’ll let me use it if i need it do that come out it’s nice family oriented farm you said family oriented farm the dad passed away two years ago and he carried right over

(7:31) Speaker 2: It’s just him right now his mom’s gonna be buried there too she’s still alive down here yeah we come out for the funeral there’s an arm wall they had a tractor with a trailer in the back of a wagon yeah it’s coughing on it goes all the way from arm law up to here and he had the whole dog and brought the coffin in wow yeah it was different yeah is that a tradition no that’s What his dad wanted to oh he asked for that yep he gave it to him that’s emotional yeah it was pretty uh pretty quick yeah i knew his dad how did you know him his dad just coming out here his dad always helped

(8:28) Speaker 3: Does it feel nostalgic being here to how maybe it felt growing up Basically like between two farms you can grow up on a farm no but like the styles farm and the pond right wasn’t that a where grandma’s sister lived

(8:51) Speaker 2: Yeah i used to ride on tractor with uncle bill yeah it’s kind of nostalgic you know very around farms i guess neil’s farm oh that’s who i meant yeah neils neils i used to go up playing barn with craig who’s craig craig neil he’s a year old worker he’s friends with him growing up on barn beams jumping the grain bins good lord yeah that people died that way right did you just Not you didn’t think about it not much jumping in a grain bin is one that hurt yeah you think it’d be nice and soft you know corn yeah no yeah and he did that once um so describe a memory you have

(9:56) Speaker 3: About this place were you here for the burial yeah jeez i mean i didn’t see him drop the coffin in but

(10:10) Speaker 2: They had had a little tent set up down there and you know they brought the coffin and sat inside the tent and everybody gathered around it and threw rose on it then he left and then gary put him in

(10:24) Speaker 3: Wow do you want do you want that to be your memory sure How many people were here 50 or 60 that’s a lot well i mean not really you may be not for funeral yeah a couple friends but it was mostly family yeah you said uncle doug was here no yeah I misheard you and you said he was on a if he wants to meet you or not good oh okay um you okay so His casket was on a what hey wagon pulled by a tractor who drove it was it the son so he drove the tractor
